HDPO Conducts Three-Day Public Health Training for Healthcare Workers in Wad Madani

Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO), with funding from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Sudan and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), successfully organized a three-day training workshop in Wad Madani, the capital of Al Jazirah State, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen public health capacity and preparedness.

The workshop brought together 100 healthcare workers and focused on enhancing knowledge and practical skills in critical public health areas. Key topics included health education, cholera prevention and awareness, waste management, and broader public health awareness, with an emphasis on preventive approaches and community-level impact.

Through interactive sessions and participatory discussions, participants strengthened their understanding of disease prevention, early response measures, and safe environmental health practices, contributing to improved readiness to address public health risks within their communities.

This training reflects HDPO’s continued commitment to supporting frontline health actors and reinforcing local health systems through capacity-building initiatives that promote resilience, prevention, and sustainable public health outcomes in Al Jazirah State.
