HDPO Conducts Emergency Water Quality Testing in Rural Al-Fasher, North Darfur

Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO), through its Water Quality and Hygiene Promotion Team, is conducting water quality testing at both household and institutional levels in rural areas of Al-Fasher, North Darfur.

This activity is part of HDPO’s emergency WASH response aimed at ensuring that internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities have access to safe and potable drinking water. The intervention serves as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of water-borne diseases in displacement-affected and underserved communities.

The water quality testing is implemented within an integrated emergency project covering water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), protection, and health, contributing to improved public health outcomes and community resilience.

The project is funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

HDPO continues to work closely with partners and communities to deliver timely, needs-based humanitarian assistance that safeguards health and dignity in North Darfur.
