HDPO to Implement Integrated Emergency Assistance Project for IDPs and Host Communities in North Darfur

Humanity for Development & Prosperity Organization (HDPO) is set to implement an integrated emergency response project to provide basic life-saving needs and essential services for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in North Darfur State. The project will be implemented from June to September 2023, addressing urgent challenges faced by populations affected by violence and conflict.

The intervention will deliver coordinated services across Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Health, aiming to alleviate humanitarian needs, enhance safety and dignity, and improve access to essential services for crisis-affected communities.

HDPO takes this opportunity to express its deep appreciation to the American people, through the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), for their continued and unwavering support to the people of Sudan during these extremely difficult times. This project marks the third consecutive emergency response supported by USAID/BHA through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) – Rapid Response Fund (RRF) Sudan Team, enabling HDPO to deliver timely humanitarian assistance in the Darfur region.

HDPO is grateful for this sub-grant, which will facilitate the provision of critical emergency services and supplies to displaced populations and host communities in North Darfur. The assistance is expected to contribute significantly to reducing the suffering of more than 30,000 displaced people, strengthening resilience and supporting lifesaving interventions at community level.

Through this continued partnership, HDPO reaffirms its commitment to delivering effective, accountable, and needs-based humanitarian responses, standing with vulnerable communities affected by conflict in Darfur.
