HDPO Receives UNITAMS Police Delegation to Strengthen Cooperation on Protection and GBV in North Darfur

Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO) received a delegation from the police component of the UNITAMS, led by Mr. Liù Cao, at its office.

During the meeting, the UNITAMS police delegation presented their mandate and areas of work, followed by constructive discussions on opportunities for collaboration. Both sides agreed to hold follow-up coordination meetings to further explore joint actions and practical cooperation.

Key areas of potential collaboration include general protection, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, and capacity building for law enforcement officers, with a particular focus on North Darfur.

This engagement reflects HDPO’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with UN missions and relevant actors to enhance protection mechanisms, promote accountability, and support coordinated, rights-based humanitarian and development responses for conflict-affected communities.

HDPO looks forward to continued dialogue and cooperation with UNITAMS to advance protection, safety, and dignity for civilians in North Darfur.
