HDPO Delivers Life-Saving Nutritious Food Assistance to Vulnerable Families in El Fasher, North Darfur

Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO), in collaboration with the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) and the Nutrition Department at the Ministry of Health, delivered critical nutrition assistance to vulnerable communities in El Fasher, North Darfur.

Through this intervention, HDPO distributed 1,380 packages of highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy–rice casserole, a ready-made meal designed to meet the immediate nutritional needs of children under five and their families, reaching a total of 4,080 households.

Each package contained 36 diverse and nutrient-rich food items, formulated to support child growth, prevent malnutrition, and enhance household food security amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. This timely support played a vital role in addressing acute nutritional gaps among the most at-risk populations.

The activity was generously sponsored by Kids Against Hunger, Help Kids First Round, and the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA), reflecting the importance of international solidarity and partnership in responding to urgent humanitarian needs.

This intervention underscores HDPO’s commitment to delivering life-saving, needs-based nutrition support through effective coordination with government authorities and partners, while prioritizing the health, dignity, and resilience of conflict-affected children and families in North Darfur.
