HDPO and Partners Convene Coordination Meeting for DRR Project in Al Gedaref State

On 5 January 2026, Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO), together with its implementing partners, convened a coordination meeting to prepare for a joint field mission under the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Project in Al Gedaref State.

The meeting brought together representatives from HDPO and partner organizations, including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), NIDAA, NPO, and PAN Health Care, underscoring the importance of partnership-based and coordinated humanitarian action.

Participants reviewed ongoing activities implemented by each partner, discussed challenges and lessons learned from the previous field mission, and conducted a situation screening of the targeted villages. The meeting also agreed on coordination and operational arrangements for a joint mission involving all partners, aiming to ensure harmonized planning and effective field implementation.

The joint field mission is scheduled to commence on 6 January 2026 in Al Galabat Al Garbia Locality, targeting Tayba and Al Hur villages. This coordinated initiative reflects HDPO and its partners’ shared commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness, reducing risks, and enhancing community resilience in vulnerable areas of eastern Sudan.

HDPO continues to work closely with national and international partners to deliver timely, coordinated, and community-centred DRR interventions that respond to local needs and priorities
