DPO Hosts Consultative Meeting with Women’s Empowerment Activists to Strengthen Protection and Rights-Based Partnerships

Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO) today held a consultative meeting with women’s empowerment activists from Sudan during their visit to Kampala. The meeting took place at HDPO’s International Headquarters in Kampala, Uganda.

The consultation brought together Nahid Jabr Allah from SEEMA Organization and Nafisa from DAWAVI Organization, providing a platform for dialogue on mutual cooperation and strategic partnership in addressing the urgent protection needs arising from the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

Discussions focused on key thematic areas including human rights, child protection, and gender-based violence (GBV), with particular attention to the challenges faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees affected by the conflict. Participants exchanged perspectives on community-led approaches, survivor-centered responses, and the importance of coordinated advocacy and programming to ensure dignity, safety, and inclusion for vulnerable groups.

This engagement reflects HDPO’s continued leadership and commitment to working with women-led and national organizations to strengthen collective responses, amplify local voices, and advance inclusive humanitarian and development interventions.

HDPO remains dedicated to building effective partnerships that promote protection, equality, and resilience for conflict-affected communities in Sudan and the wider region.
