Protection Training Sessions included in Emergency Integrated Project for IDPS

HDPO finalized the establishment of 2 Community-Based Child Protection Networks (CBCPNs) and 2 Community-Based Protection Networks (CBPNs) in Al-Fashir, North Darfur targeting IDPs that took refuge in South Al-Fashir after the 14th April conflict and vulnerable Host communities. The two distinct networks are part of the four months emergency integrated project covering water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), Protection, and Health with funding support from IOM/USAID. Four protection training sessions were conducted over 5 days with each category (CBPNs and CBCPNs) consisting of 40 participants (50% female) who included child caregivers, Resistance committees, women unions, community/IDP leaders, youth committees, and civil society. The total number of participants that benefitted from the training is 80 people. The last day was utilized to bring all participants together to build more collaboration and coordination and award certificates to the participants. The training covered FGM, PSEA, PSS, SRH, referral paths, women and child rights, incidence monitoring, and reporting among others. The activities were done in proper coordination way with IDP authorities and management, HAC, and MoWSD.
