HDPO team meets the displaced fleeing armed attacks on villages

Civilians who fled Tawila Locality following armed militia attacks on them managed to reach Naivasha camp, north of El Fasher Locality. An HDPO team from the El Fasher office visited the camp’s shelter for the displaced.

Some displaced people arrived on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Naivasha camp, where they were hosted in Al-Salam School (2), were about 284 families and 747 individuals, including pregnant women, children, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases, living in critical humanitarian conditions during the onset of the fall.

Many displaced people are still increasing, and others are stuck on the roads.

According to the accounts of the survivors, they were displaced from the camps (Tawila, Rwanda, Dibba Naira, Argo, and Dali Kengo in the city), and others were displaced from the areas of voluntary return (Dibba Naira, Dali, Tina Qamar, Shakshaku, Fura Maraqqa, Duqqa, Kanjara, Kajarloy, Kujur, Marat, Kreiker, Jawaher, Salbalaya, Omda, Khazan Tanger and Farya Amu).
